Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a USA Lacrosse Membership?

Yes, an active USA Lacrosse membership is required to participate in tournaments. You can purchase or renew your membership by visiting the USA Lacrosse website.

What is your team formation policy?

For our Summer and Fall seasons Titans will form one or more teams, with each team rostering between 18 and 24 players. To meet this goal, all registrants will be placed on a waitlist before practices begin.

Titans may hold try outs to determine team placement, depending on the number of registrants. Titans may have more registrants than can be placed on teams, meaning that some registrants may not be placed on a Titans team.

Rostered players will be charged the full season registration fee, less the try out fee.

What is your attendance policy?

We expect registered players to attend all practices and tournaments during the season.

Players who miss more than four practices or miss more than one tournament will be dropped from the team and no refund will be issued.

I graduated high school, can I play?

A graduated senior can play in a tournament, but tournament policies generally apply one or more restrictions that make it difficult for the player and the team. For example:

  • The number of graduated seniors may be limited to three or four players per team, and
  • A team with graduated seniors may be required to play in the top-most division at the tournament.

Do you offer insurance or a payment plan?

Registration insurance can be purchased at checkout. This insurance is provided by AIG through TeamSnap, and provides coverage for specific events beyond our control. The policy details are provided through a link on the registration page.

We recommend using the installment plan for all registrations. All installment plans require a $50 deposit, with the remaining fee paid in monthly payments. Installment plan details are available during registration and checkout.

Contact Coach Adam if a special payment plan is required.

What is your refund policy?

In general we do not provide refunds. Exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis. If you need a refund, it's best to contact Coach Adam as soon as possible to get a refund started.

Our refund policy is:

  • Registration payments will be refunded in full if the season is canceled before the first practice of the season.
  • The refund amount will be pro-rated based on the elapsed number of weeks since the season began. Exceptions may be made by Martinez Lacrosse Club on a case-by-case basis.
  • The final refund amount will be determined at the sole discretion of Martinez Lacrosse Club.

Refunds for fees paid by credit card are usually available within 15 days of the refund filing. Payment plans are automatically canceled in the event of a refund.

Do I need to purchase a uniform or practice jersey?

A uniform jersey and shorts are required for tournament play. A practice jersey is required for practice. The one-time apparel cost will be included in the registration fee for rostered players.

Titans is refreshing our uniforms (after four years!). All players will be required to purchase a uniform and practice pinnie.

Are scholarships available?

We provide a limited number of scholarships (i.e., discounted registration fees) each season. Not all applications will be granted. Contact Coach Adam for details.

Do you have loaner equipment?

We provide loaner sticks and eye goggles for players that don't (yet!) own them. Equipment must be returned at the end of the season or the player will be invoiced for replacement.

Footwear and mouthguards are very personalized; we do not provide loaner equipment for these items.

Do you play in the rain?

We do! Generally, players love to play in the rain. Always check the weather forecast before heading to practice or a game.

If there is thunder and lightning we will stay indoors!
